PPI and CPI: What is the relationship?
Červený, David ; Polák, Petr (advisor) ; Havránek, Tomáš (referee)
This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between the PPI and the CPI in the Czech Republic and the euro area. The primary method used in this thesis is the Granger causality test. Granger causality between the price indices is tested for in a bivariate model and also conditional on other variables describing the development of real GDP, a given monetary aggregate and wages. The most apparent conclusion that can be drawn from the empirical results indicates that the PPI Granger-causes the CPI in the Czech Republic and that there is no Granger causality going from the CPI to the PPI in the euro area. These results are consistent with conventional economic theory, which suggests a pass-through effect in the production chain going from producer prices to consumer prices.
Network Analysis Of Proteins Associated With Schizophrenia
Musilová, Jana
The aim of this study is a network analysis of proteins ADRA1A, DRD1, DRD2 and HTR2A associated with a schizophrenia disease. By random graph analysis, all researched proteins were evaluated as significant. Using Cytoscape software, significant DPI (drug-protein interactions), PPI (protein-protein interactions) and pathways were revealed. By historeceptomics analysis, significant regions in amygdala, smooth muscle or spinal cord and prefrontal cortex were identified. The acquired knowledge can contribute to further research in the development of multitarget drugs against schizophrenia disease.
The producer price index analysis for the purpose of assets estimation in Eastern Europe
Urbanovská, Aneta ; Dušek, David (advisor) ; Vala, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis focus on the availibility of the time series of producer price index (PPI) in the selected countries from Eastern Europe. The PPI time series are necessary for assets price estimation. The aim of the thesis is to proove if there could be a "converter" between the PPI total and PPI for individual activity which could be used for creating time series in countries where the data are not available.
Tahová pevnost keramických pěnových materiálů
Řehořek, Lukáš
Full understanding of mechanical properties of highly porous (cellular) ceramic foams is important due to their applications in many ranges of industrial, medical and other applications. There is described technique of mechanical testing in tension of ceramic foam material in this paper. Tested material was based on alumina ceramic and it was manufactured by slurry coating of polyurethane foam. Testing procedure consist from fixation of ceramic foam into aluminum pots by resin. Results and statistical analysis of more than 60 ceramic foam specimens loaded by tension were also described.
